Seminars with Javier Rochwarger May 12 and May 19
MAY 12, at 8:30 PM Tango Salon Sequences
(some experience with dancing tango is assumed)
Salon-style tango is danced in crowded small spaces. It is a slow, measured and smoothly executed style of tango. This class will teach you better technique for smoother turns, and how to transition between close and open embrace.
MAY 19, at 6:30 PM Looks good, feels good — Elegant fundamental movements
(a class for all levels, beginners are encouraged to come to this class)
Learn the basic movements of tango well, if you are a beginner. Take your fundamentals to a new level if you have already been dancing tango. Javier will teach you how to make all your movements more intentional and fluent.
MAY 19, at 8:30 PM More Tango Salon Sequences
(some experience with dancing tango is assumed)
A second class from Javier that will focus on the smooth and solid Salon-style tango. You will learn another sequence and how to do it fluidly.
WHERE: Maine Ballroom Dance is located at 614 Congress Street in Portland.
FEES: $20 for one class, $35 for two classes, or $50 for all three classes.
